Earl of Cumbria and Lothian (later David I) invites monks of Bernard to Selkirk and Augustinians to Jedburgh.

Corbet arrives in Scotland under David I and obtains manor of 'Foghou under Earl of Dunbar. David I moves Tironesian monks to Kelso and grants them land at Fogo

Edward invades Scotland following Scotland's Auld Alliance with France.

David, vicar of 'Foghow' swore fealty to Edward I. Retains vicarage, and monks of Kelso retain church

Robert the Bruce crowned. Edward I dies (1307) Edward II succeeds.

English routed at Bannockburn. Scotland effectively a sovereign state.
